Holiday home on the Torregrande seafront, 30 meters from the seashore | House in Torre Grande
2 Bedroom House in Torre Grande
The house is located in the seaside village of Torregrande, we are three kilometers from Oristano, of which Torregrande is the main Marina. The locality is located in western Sardinia, in the Sinis, and within a radius of twenty kilometers there are dozens of beaches, among the most beautiful in this area.
The house is located in the first row, on the seafront, from the windows of the bedrooms and the living room you can see the sea which is thirty meters from the entrance door to the house. The house is also at the height of a play area, about twenty meters away from this, for children and teenagers, which in July and August offers evening entertainment until late at night. Only in these months it must be considered that there may be more noise, unlike the other months in which there are no activities that animate the seafront of the town.
Therefore, excluding July and August, the house is located in a very quiet area with several short-range services, in five minutes on foot there are bars, restaurants, shops and various services and also on the sea side, a whole network of rental of various sea equipment and a whole network of small companies that offer courses and manage individual and group activities to make your holiday more interesting and these companies operate from spring to autumn. We are located in the large green area of the pine forest of the locality where biodiversity reigns and where there are also wonderful and uncontaminated stretches, to have great privacy.
The beach in front of the house is about a kilometer and a half long and is sandy with a mainly sandy bottom. which offers vacationers, both morning, on the beach and night services, including kiosks, bars, music and clubs.
Three kilometers of golden sand ranging from the tourist port to the mouth of the Tirso, bordered by tall palm trees and a beautiful promenade, an ideal stretch of coastline for a holiday dedicated to swimming and diving, jogging and sports, horse riding, bike or on skates, evenings of music and fun. Torregrande is the beach of Oristano, which is ten kilometers away, and owes its name to the main square of the small tourist centre, founded by farmers and fishermen. Here stands the Spanish tower of the same name, the largest in Sardinia, built between 1542 and 1572. It is a very lively place with clubs and bars, concerts and shows, restaurants and festivals, exhibitions and markets.
If you are fond of horse riding, the nearby stables offer you horseback riding on the beach, which is wonderful at sunset. While the clear seabed rich in marine flora and fauna will make your dives a documentary. The beach has been awarded several times with the Blue Flag by Legambiente and hosts the institute for the coastal marine environment of the National Research Council (CNR).
The wide strip of sand is equipped with all comforts: accessible to the disabled, ample parking, suitable for campers, kiosks and bathing equipment, games for children, sailing and diving school. Along the beach you can practice beach volleyball and beach tennis and rent pedal boats, boats and windsurfing. The sea is almost always calm but degrades rapidly: family friendly but with attention to the little ones. The modern marina of Torregrande is the tourist port of Oristano, in the center of the gulf, a starting point for excursions from the suggestive Capo San Marco to the marine area of Sinis, passing through magnificent beaches: San Giovanni, Maimoni, Is Arutas and Mari Ermi ( in the territory of Cabras) and Putzu Idu (in that of San Vero Milis).
The tower is the largest that the Spanish domination bequeathed in Sardinia, but the town of Oristano also has ample traces of first medieval and then Aragonese fortifications, in particular the tower of Mariano (or San Cristoforo) in Piazza Roma, the most significant of the remains of the walls, which ran through the capital of the Giudicato of Arborea. Dating back to 1290 and 28 meters high, it was built in blocks of Tharros sandstone by Pisan workers by order of Judge Mariano II, then 'retouched' by the Crown of Aragon.
Entering the house we find on the left a room with a window overlooking the sea, the bed is double and the well-kept and airy room opens onto the corridor where we find a second bedroom, also double and always with a beautiful view of the sea. Proceeding we find a complete kitchen with fridge and freezer, hob and oven and the most varied kitchen equipment. Continuing we find a bathroom with toilet, shower and bidet, also from the corridor you enter the living room with sea view with TV and sofa and dining area. We are in a house that is growing, which is starting a restyling process and which is proposed as a valid alternative to those who seek to get closer to the sea without expecting everything to be new, but everything is perfectly functional. Sitting in the beachfront positions of the house generally gives a feeling of great tranquility and relaxation.
